Description

The Torchiere is a wall-mounted uplighter built around a black-finished metal frame with decorative scrollwork at the sides and base, holding a conical etched opal glass shade. The single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass cone and directs light upward, where the etched opal finish diffuses it across the ceiling and upper wall to create indirect ambient lighting.

Designed for hallways, landing walls, living rooms and bedroom accent positions where upward-cast light adds depth without glare, the Torchiere projects 170mm from the wall and spans 370mm wide. The scrolled metalwork references traditional wrought-iron detailing but the simplified profile and matt black finish allow it to sit equally well in period properties and contemporary interiors where a decorative accent is wanted without heavy ornamentation.

The etched opal glass is translucent rather than transparent, so the bulb itself is visible as a soft glow rather than a bare filament.
