Tokio 4 Light Floor Lamp - Gloss Black & Polished Chrome

The Tokio is a 1620mm floor lamp built around four stacked laser-cut black acrylic shades mounted on a twin-pole polished chrome frame with a square chrome-plated steel base. Each shade consists of an outer black acrylic cage with an organic cutout pattern surrounding an inner clear crystal glass liner, and each houses a single G9 bulb (sold separately). The laser-cut pattern in the black acrylic projects shadows and light across walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for living rooms, lounges and reception areas with floor space of approximately 3m x 3m or larger, the Tokio provides ambient rather than task lighting. The 250mm square footprint keeps the lamp stable without dominating floor area, and the vertical arrangement of the four shades distributes light upwards and outwards across different levels of a room. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

The gloss black finish on the acrylic shades contrasts with the polished chrome frame and base, creating a high-contrast monochrome palette that suits both modern and art deco interiors. The combined weight of 12kg gives the lamp a grounded presence, and the chrome poles remain stable under the weight of the stacked shades. Each acrylic cage is removable for bulb changes, and the clear crystal glass liners inside diffuse light before it exits through the cutout pattern.

The lamp accepts four G9 bulbs, each rated, and stands 1620mm tall so light reaches across the upper part of a room. A 1 year warranty applies.

What bulbs does the Tokio take?

The lamp takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K warm white for ambient lighting. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible but generate more heat.

Is the Tokio dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself has no integrated dimmer. Dimming is controlled at the wall switch or inline dimmer module.

How much floor space does it need?

The base is 250mm square, so the lamp requires approximately 300mm of clear floor space to sit comfortably without obstruction. The vertical stacking of the four shades keeps the lamp compact at floor level.

How are the bulbs changed?

Each black acrylic cage lifts off the chrome pole to expose the G9 socket inside. The crystal glass liner remains in place while you replace the bulb, then the acrylic cage clips back over the liner.
