Description

Light settles gently across our clear-coated oak surface, drawing out the natural grain of the wood and giving this coffee table a warm, grounded presence in a room. The square top measures 100 by 100cm, with softly rounded corners that keep the whole piece feeling relaxed rather than rigid. In its Tall height, it sits at a comfortable level for gathering cups, books and the odd bit of clutter, and we find the generous surface works just as well for a tray of drinks as it does for a scattering of magazines. Finished in Oak, it brings a pale, honeyed tone that we think suits both lighter and darker interiors.

Below the main top, a woven venetian cane lower tier adds an extra layer of storage and a bit of texture to break up the solid oak above. We like the way the cane weave softens the overall look while still giving you somewhere to tuck away remotes, coasters or a favourite hardback. The solid oak legs are fixed with threaded rods for a steady, dependable join, and the whole table weighs 22.7kg, so it stays firmly in place once you have it settled.
