Description
The Tidal rug is a modern design in beige and cream, with a flowing marbled pattern that sweeps across its whole surface. Swirling bands of warm beige, deepening in places to a caramel tan, move through drifts of soft cream, rather like the veining in polished stone or the ripples a tide leaves in wet sand. It is a calm, neutral design with enough life in it to lift a plain floor.
We think it sits most naturally in a living room, where its warm neutrals go well with pale wood floors, cream upholstery and wooden furniture. It comes in four sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 230cm and 200 by 290cm. The smallest suits a bedside, a reading corner or the space in front of a fireplace, and 120 by 170cm fits nicely in front of a sofa or under a coffee table. At 160 by 230cm it is large enough to anchor a seating area, while 200 by 290cm can sit under a sofa and chairs together, or under a double bed with floor to spare at either side.
It is an indoor rug. Before you choose a size, measure your floor and mark the outline with masking tape to see how much each one covers. Leave a strip of bare floor around the edges and let the front feet of your sofa rest on the rug. On smooth wood or tiled floors, an underlay helps keep it flat and in place.

Frequently Asked
What sizes does the Tidal rug come in?
It comes in four rectangular sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 230cm and 200 by 290cm, from a bedside rug to a large living room size.
What colours are in the beige Tidal rug?
The design is mostly warm beige and cream, with deeper caramel tan tones running through the marbled swirls, so it reads as a soft, warm neutral.
Which size of this rug should I choose for a living room?
For a smaller seating area, 120 by 170cm fits in front of a sofa. 160 by 230cm anchors a larger group, and 200 by 290cm can sit under a sofa and chairs together.
Can I use this rug outdoors?
No, this is an indoor rug, best suited to living rooms and bedrooms rather than a patio, terrace, garden or conservatory.
Is the Tidal rug a modern or traditional design?
It is a modern rug with an abstract marbled pattern rather than a traditional design, so it suits contemporary rooms with pale wood, cream and natural tones.
