Description

The Tiber is a 175mm single-light pendant with a twisted, mouth-blown clear glass shade suspended from a polished nickel canopy on a braided grey fabric cable. The glass shade is formed with vertical undulations that refract light in multiple directions when the bulb is lit, creating a faceted optical effect. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and the drop is adjustable from 337mm minimum to 2192mm maximum on installation.

Designed for use over kitchen islands, dining tables, hallways and as bedside lighting, the Tiber works as a single pendant centred over a small table or in multiples clustered at different heights over a longer island. The compact 175mm diameter and 237mm shade height give presence without dominating narrow spaces or low ceilings. The clear glass does not filter the bulb colour, so the choice of warm white, cool white or filament LED controls the overall appearance.

The polished nickel finish on the canopy and cable grip provides a bright metallic accent that pairs cleanly with chrome tapware, brushed steel appliances and contemporary metalwork. The mouth-blown glass production means each shade shows slight variation in the twist pattern and thickness where the glassblower shaped the molten glass. The braided grey cable runs concealed within the adjustable drop and exits through the polished nickel ceiling rose, which fits standard UK ceiling fixings.

What bulb does the Tiber take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm white LED or a decorative filament-style LED to show through the clear glass.

Can multiple Tiber pendants be installed together?

Yes. The compact 175mm diameter allows two or three Tiber pendants to be clustered over a kitchen island or dining table. Installing at staggered heights (e.g. one at 600mm drop, one at 800mm) creates visual depth and avoids collision.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop is adjusted during installation by shortening the cable inside the ceiling rose. Once fitted, the drop is fixed unless the ceiling rose is reopened and the cable re-adjusted.

Does the glass shade vary between pieces?

Yes. Each shade is mouth-blown, so the exact twist pattern and glass thickness vary slightly between individual pieces. This is characteristic of mouth-blown glass production.
