Description
Low and softly shaped, our Reader Oak Ottoman 60cm brings a padded top to rest on an open oak frame, giving us a footstool that sits comfortably in the middle of a room without crowding it. The gently rounded upholstery invites you to prop up your feet or perch for a moment, while the slim frame beneath keeps the whole piece looking light. At 42cm high, 60cm wide and 46cm deep, it tucks neatly beside a sofa or in front of an armchair, and at just 4.2kg we find it easy to move from spot to spot as the mood takes us.
This ottoman is made from solid oak, with laminated veneer, MDF and PUR used through the frame and structure, and a polyester upholstery in a deep black finish that pairs with almost any scheme. The oak legs carry a warm, natural grain that balances the darker seat, and the matt black top keeps things understated. Assembly takes around 15 minutes and there is a short video to walk you through it, so you can have it ready to use in an afternoon.
To keep the top looking its best, we suggest a light brush or vacuum on a low setting and a wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth for any marks, avoiding harsh cleaners on the fabric. A quick dust of the oak frame now and then will keep the grain looking fresh. We like to style this piece as a footrest by day and an extra spot to set a tray of drinks by evening, and the black upholstery means it works just as well in a busy family sitting room as it does in a quieter reading corner.
