Description

At 78cm wide and 105cm tall, our Reader Black Oak Lounge Chair sits with real presence without crowding a room, and its 91cm depth gives you space to settle back properly. This is a high-backed lounge chair, with a tall curved upholstered shell that wraps forward at the sides to hold you in. It rests on an open frame of solid oak in a Black Oak finish, so the seat feels enclosed while the base stays light and airy. It is designed for reading corners, quiet bedroom nooks and living rooms where you want a proper chair to sink into.

The shell is covered in a warm Brown, a soft neutral that we find works with pale walls, deeper tones and natural wood alike. The build combines solid oak with laminated veneer, polyester, MDF and PUR, and the upholstery draws on our Horizons S and Teddy Bear textiles. At 21.5kg the chair is steady on the floor yet still easy enough for us to move between rooms when needed.

Assembly takes around 20 minutes, and we include an assembly video so you can follow each step rather than guess your way through. The chair meets EN 16139 (L1) for furniture, ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 for public and lounge seating, the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, so you can trust both the make and the materials.
