Our Reader Black Oak Lounge Chair is built from solid oak, laminated veneer and polyester, with MDF and PUR completing the shell, pairing a natural wood frame with a substantial upholstered form. The oak is finished in Black Oak, giving the open legs and supports a deep, grounded tone, while the covering is Black across the tall curved shell. The seat wraps forward at the sides, so the back and armrests form one continuous piece that holds you as you settle in. It is a genuinely high-backed lounge chair rather than a low one, standing 105cm tall.

The shape is the point here. That tall shell curves up and around, cupping the shoulders and drawing in at the sides to make a quiet, enclosed spot for reading or resting.
