Description

The Terrarosa is a fabric pendant light that sets a white fabric shade inside an open cage of slim steel rods. The cage is finished in a soft sand colour and swells into a rounded drum, and the round ceiling canopy is finished to match, so the whole light reads as one neutral piece. It measures 28.5cm across and 110cm in overall height, a compact size that hangs comfortably over a small table without crowding the room. It takes an E27 bulb up to a maximum of 40W, and the bulb is not included, so you choose the warmth of light you like. The IP20 rating settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

We think it suits a dining room best, hung over a round table where the white fabric shade keeps the glow soft for the people seated around it. It works as well in a hallway, a bedroom or a living room, and the neutral sand tone sits easily alongside natural wood, woven seats, greys and soft whites. If a solid shade feels too heavy for your space, the open cage keeps the look airy while still giving the light a defined shape. Over a longer table, a pair hung side by side spreads the light more evenly.

The frame is steel and the inner shade is fabric: the slim rods loop over a top ring and curve outwards to form the drum, with the white cylinder sitting at its centre. There is no switch on the light itself, so it is switched at the wall like any ceiling light. As a wired-in mains fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. It weighs 1.503KG packed. Have an E27 bulb of no more than 40W ready before it is hung, and you can switch it on the moment it is in place.
