Description

The Terque is a six-light linear pendant: a long black steel ceiling bar with six clear glass globe shades hanging from slim black cords, each globe held by a brushed brass holder. Inside every globe sits a faceted inner that catches the glow, so the shades hold interest even when unlit. It measures 138cm long, 25cm wide and 150cm high overall. The light source is integrated LED, six lights of 5.4W each giving 510lm apiece at 3000K, a warm white. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors and dry, in a dining room, kitchen or living room rather than a bathroom or porch.

The long bar and the globes, hung at two alternating heights, make it a natural choice over a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, where the single bar spreads six sources of light along the surface rather than a single pool in the middle. The black and brushed brass pairing sits comfortably in a modern or a more classic scheme, and the clear glass keeps the look airy across such a wide span. Because it dims, you can run it bright while you cook and turn it down low for a long, relaxed dinner.

The body is steel, black on the ceiling bar and brushed brass on the holders, and the shades are clear glass. There is no switch on the fitting itself, so it is switched at the wall, and as a wired mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download.
