Description
The Tenax Pro is a 320mm anti-vandal bulkhead casing constructed from UV-stabilised polycarbonate, designed to house Knightsbridge Tenax LED gear trays (sold separately). The casing carries an IP66 weatherproof rating against dust and high-pressure water jets, plus an IK10 impact rating against mechanical force up to 20 joules, making it suitable for outdoor, industrial and commercial environments where vandalism or accidental impact is a concern.
Designed for wall and ceiling mounting on external building perimeters, car parks, stairwells, service yards and industrial premises, the casing fits over a standard BESA box fixing and accepts multiple 20mm conduit entries for cable routing. The polycarbonate body resists UV degradation and salt corrosion, which prevents the black finish from fading or chalking over years of outdoor exposure. The diffuser is also polycarbonate rather than acrylic, giving additional impact resistance.
The casing secures with stainless steel tamper-proof screws that resist removal without specialist tooling. When paired with a Knightsbridge Tenax LED gear tray, the assembly delivers 1,075lm at 10W, 1,580lm at 15W, or 1,975lm at 20W, all at 4000K neutral white. The casing itself provides the weatherproof and vandal-resistant shell; the LED gear tray provides the light source and driver. The 80mm projection keeps the fitting low-profile against the mounting surface.

Frequently Asked
Does this include the LED light source?
No. The Tenax Pro casing is sold separately from the LED gear tray. You need to purchase a Knightsbridge Tenax LED gear tray (available in 10W, 15W or 20W) to complete the installation and provide the light output.
What does IK10 impact rating mean?
IK10 is the highest standard impact rating in the IK scale, representing resistance to mechanical force up to 20 joules. In practical terms, the casing can withstand direct strikes from thrown objects or deliberate vandalism without cracking or breaking.
Can it be installed on a BESA box?
Yes. The casing is BESA box compatible and accepts multiple 20mm conduit entries for cable routing. Stainless steel tamper-proof screws secure the casing to the BESA box or directly to the wall or ceiling substrate.
Is the black finish suitable for coastal or corrosive environments?
Yes. The polycarbonate body is anti-corrosive and UV-stabilised, so it resists salt spray, UV degradation and chemical exposure without fading or chalking. The IP66 rating also protects internal components from high-pressure water jets and salt-laden air.
