Description
The TENAX One is a 245mm square bulkhead casing in black polycarbonate, designed to house a separately-purchased LED gear tray from the TENAX modular range. The casing carries IP65 weatherproof and IK10 impact ratings, making it suitable for outdoor walls, covered entrances, car parks, industrial yards and commercial exteriors where the fitting may be exposed to rain, dust and physical knocks.
The casing mounts directly onto standard BESA boxes or can be surface-fixed using the multiple 20mm conduit entries positioned around the base rim. Stainless steel tamper-proof screws secure the front diffuser to the body, reducing unauthorised access in public areas. The UV-stabilised polycarbonate body resists yellowing and brittleness under prolonged sun exposure, maintaining the black finish over time in outdoor installations.
The 245mm x 245mm x 70mm dimensions provide internal space for TENAX LED gear trays rated at 10W (1,200lm), 15W (1,670lm) or 20W (2,100lm) at 4000K, sold separately. The prismatic diffuser front spreads light evenly across the wall or ground plane beneath the fitting. Class II construction means the casing does not require an earth connection, simplifying installation in locations where earth integrity is difficult to guarantee.

Frequently Asked
Does the TENAX One casing include the LED gear tray?
No. The casing is sold separately from the LED gear tray. TENAX LED gear trays in 10W, 15W and 20W variants must be purchased separately and installed inside the casing during fitting.
What does IP65 and IK10 mean?
IP65 means the casing is fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor wall mounting in rain and dust. IK10 is the highest impact rating, meaning the casing can withstand 20 joules of impact force without damage — equivalent to a 5kg weight dropped from 40cm.
Can it be mounted directly onto a BESA box?
Yes. The base of the casing is compatible with standard UK BESA boxes. Alternatively, it can be surface-mounted using the 20mm conduit entries around the base rim for cable access.
What is the UV stabilisation for?
UV-stabilised polycarbonate resists degradation under prolonged sun exposure. Without UV stabilisation, black polycarbonate can fade to grey and become brittle over time outdoors. The UV-stabilised material maintains colour and mechanical strength for the life of the fitting.
