Description

The Telford is a 12cm pendant light built around a white frosted glass dome enclosed by a vertical gold wire cage, suspended from a gold metal canopy on a black fabric cable. A single G9 bulb inside the frosted glass dome diffuses light through both the glass and the gaps between the wire cage, creating a pattern of soft ambient light and linear shadow on surrounding surfaces.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast nooks and hallways where a compact pendant is needed without dominating the space, the Telford works as a single fitting above a small table or in multiples spaced 500-700mm apart along a worktop or counter. The adjustable drop ranges from 40.5cm to 168cm on installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned 600-800mm above a surface in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. The G9 fitting accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to 25W (sold separately).

The gold finish on the wire cage and canopy provides warm metallic accents that pair with brass hardware, warm-toned timber and both contemporary and industrial interiors. The wire cage is formed from eight vertical ribs that taper at the base where they meet the frosted glass dome, giving the fitting a lantern-like silhouette. At 12cm diameter the pendant occupies minimal visual space while the cage detail adds architectural interest when viewed from different angles. The IP20 rating limits the Telford to dry indoor locations only.

What bulb does it take?

The Telford takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 25W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a G9 LED capsule between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Both halogen and LED G9 bulbs are compatible.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Telford is suitable for dry indoor locations only and should not be installed in bathrooms, wetrooms or areas where it may be exposed to moisture or steam.

How is the drop adjusted?

The fabric cable runs through the gold canopy and can be shortened or lengthened during installation by an electrician. Once the desired drop is set, excess cable is concealed within the ceiling void or canopy. The minimum drop of 40.5cm and maximum of 168cm accommodate most ceiling heights.

Can multiple Telfords be installed in a row?

Yes. The compact 12cm diameter makes the Telford well-suited to installation in multiples. Spacing three or more pendants 500-700mm apart along a kitchen island or counter creates a cohesive look without overcrowding the space. Each pendant requires a separate ceiling connection point.
