The Teja bar stool is a high outdoor seat with arms, built on a frame of extruded aluminium with a polyester powder coating and wrapped in bands of hand-woven marine rope across the back and arms. A removable seat cushion comes with it, made in the outdoor fabric you choose. It is 58cm wide, 54cm deep and 105cm high, and its seat height of 78cm puts it at a bar or a high counter rather than a dining table. The arms sit at 96cm, and a rail runs round the legs to rest your feet on.

We picture it at an outdoor bar on a terrace or patio, along a garden kitchen counter or beside the pool, at home or at a restaurant. Each stool is made to order in Barcelona, so its finish is yours to choose: fifteen powder-coated frame colours, among them Textured White, Textured Ivory and Stone; two rope colours, Grey Taupe and Terra Brown; and forty-six outdoor fabrics for the seat cushion in acrylic, polyolefin and Vinytex, such as Pan White, Wabi Ecru and Pan Bone.

The rope is polyester thread over a nylon core, and the stool is made for outdoor use, resistant to weathering and sunlight. The cushion is filled with polyether fibre and foam. The design is by La Mamba Studio. Looking after it is straightforward: clean the frame regularly with warm water, neutral soap and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, then rinse well and dry it to avoid water marks. For the fabric, use a damp sponge with a little neutral soap in plenty of water and a soft brush for a stubborn stain, never harsh chemicals; the acrylic fabrics wash at 30°C, and a brush or vacuum lifts dust from the polyolefin ones.
