Description

The Teja is a rope garden lounge chair with a low, open frame of extruded aluminium, finished in polyester powder coating. Broad bands of hand-woven marine rope wrap the back and the sides, and a closer weave forms the seat. It comes with a removable seat cushion made in the outdoor fabric you choose. At 71cm wide, 69cm deep and 78cm high, with a seat height of 42cm and arms at 63cm, it is compact enough for a balcony or the corner of a terrace.

We like it on a sunny patio, beside a pool or on a terrace, for a morning coffee or a long evening outdoors. Each chair is made to order in Barcelona, Spain, in your choice of fifteen powder-coated frame colours, such as Textured White, Textured Ivory or Stone, and two rope colours, Grey Taupe and Terra Brown. The seat cushion comes in forty-six outdoor fabrics in acrylic, polyolefin and Vinytex, among them Pan White, Wabi Ecru and Pan Bone.

The marine rope is polyester thread over a nylon core, and the chair is made for outdoor use, resistant to weathering and sunlight. The design is by La Mamba Studio, and the chair carries the maker's guarantee of five years for domestic use and two years for commercial use against manufacturing defects; cushions, covers and fabrics are not covered. Wash the frame with warm water, neutral soap and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, then rinse and dry it to avoid water marks. Clean the fabric with a damp sponge and neutral soap in plenty of water, never harsh chemicals; the acrylic fabrics wash at 30°C, and polyolefin is best brushed or vacuumed to lift dust.
