Description

The Teja is a rope garden armchair with a frame of extruded aluminium in a polyester powder coating, its rounded tubular sides and back wrapped in broad bands of hand-woven marine rope. It is a generous single seat, 107cm wide, 96cm deep and 78cm high, so allow a little over a metre of floor space for it. The seat sits 43cm from the ground, an easy height to sit down into and rise from. It comes with its seat and back cushions, made in the outdoor fabric you choose, and both are removable.

It is made for the outdoor places where you want somewhere to settle with a book or a morning coffee: a garden, a terrace or patio, or beside the pool. We make it in fifteen powder-coated frame colours, among them Textured White, Textured Ivory and Stone. The rope comes in two colours, Grey Taupe or Terra Brown, and the cushions in forty-six outdoor fabrics in acrylic, polyolefin and Vinytex, such as Pan White, Wabi Ecru and Pan Bone. Between them you can match it to pale stone, warm terracotta or a green lawn.

Designed by La Mamba Studio and made to order in Barcelona, Spain, the Teja is made for outdoor use and is resistant to weathering and sunlight. The marine rope is polyester thread over a nylon core, and the cushions are filled with polyether fibre and foam. Wash the frame with warm water and neutral soap, then rinse and dry it to avoid water marks; sponge the fabrics with a little neutral soap in plenty of water, never harsh chemicals. Because the cushions come off, you can bring them indoors on a wet evening and have them dry for the next fine day.

It is made to order for you, so allow about 5 to 6 weeks: about 4 weeks to make it and about a week and a half in transit.
