This Teja garden dining armchair is built on a slim frame of extruded aluminium with a polyester powder coating. Its back is hand-woven marine rope, laid in bands across the backrest, while the sides are left open without rope, giving the chair a light, airy outline. It comes with a removable seat cushion made in the outdoor fabric you choose. The armchair is 60cm wide, 62cm deep and 76cm high, with the seat at 47cm and the arms at 68cm, a usual height for dining.

Made for outdoor use and resistant to weathering and sunlight, it belongs on a terrace, patio or garden, set around a table for long lunches and summer suppers. Each chair is made to order in Barcelona, Spain, in the combination you pick. The frame comes in fifteen powder-coated colours, among them Textured White, Textured Ivory and Stone. The rope comes in two colours, Grey Taupe and Terra Brown. The cushion comes in forty-six outdoor fabrics in acrylic, polyolefin and Vinytex, such as Pan White, Wabi Ecru and Pan Bone.

The design is by La Mamba Studio. The marine rope is polyester thread over a nylon core, and the cushion is filled with polyether fibre and foam. Clean the powder-coated aluminium regularly with warm water, neutral soap and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, rinse well and dry the surface to avoid water marks. For the fabrics, use a damp sponge with a little neutral soap in plenty of water, a soft brush for a stubborn stain and never harsh chemicals; the acrylic fabrics wash at 30°C, and the polyolefin fabrics can be brushed or vacuumed to lift dust. The seat cushion is removable, so it can be taken in between uses.
