Description

The Tau is a 40W LED pendant light with a flexible neon silicone diffuser housed in a black aluminium body with gold end caps. The 400cm length runs as a continuous line of warm 3000K light, with high-density LEDs embedded inside a silicone tube that resists yellowing and maintains flexibility over time. The integrated LED provides soft, evenly distributed illumination without visible hotspots.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and bars where linear suspended light is needed, the Tau works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher. The 400cm run suits table lengths between 2.4-3m, with the pendant suspended 750-900mm above the surface depending on ceiling height. The extra-strong suspension cord supports the weight of the full 4m length and conceals the power cable. The black aluminium housing measures approximately 25mm in diameter at each end cap.

The silicone diffuser provides a soft wash of light along its entire length, avoiding the harsh shadows and glare points common to exposed LED strips. The black and gold colour scheme pairs with industrial, contemporary and mid-century interiors, and the IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white output comparable to halogen, making it suitable for spaces where task and ambient lighting combine.

The 400cm pendant works best above tables between 2.4-3m long, leaving approximately 600-800mm overhang at each end for visual balance. For shorter tables, consider a pendant with a shorter run length.

How is the silicone diffuser cleaned?

Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water only. Avoid sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can degrade the silicone over time.
