Description

The Tarifa is an adjustable LED wall reading light with a rectangular antique brass backplate, an articulating arm that rotates both horizontally and vertically, and an integrated 3W LED housed in a cylindrical brass head. A slim rocker switch sits on the backplate, allowing the light to be turned on and off without reaching for a wall switch or cord pull.

Designed for bedside reading, desk task lighting and accent positions where a compact, directional light source is needed, the Tarifa mounts on a standard UK back box and projects 80mm from the wall when aligned straight ahead. The arm rotates through approximately 180° horizontally and tilts vertically to direct the 30° beam towards a book, work surface or specific wall detail. The 210 lumens from the 3000K LED provide sufficient brightness for close-range reading without overwhelming the surrounding space.

The antique brass finish has a brushed texture with warm brown undertones, differentiating it from polished or satin brass. The backplate measures 60mm wide by 150mm high, giving the fitting a vertical emphasis that suits narrow wall spaces next to beds, beside mirrors, or flanking alcoves. At 0.55kg the fitting is light enough to be mounted on plasterboard with appropriate fixings. The LED is non-dimmable and rated for 3 years under Mantra's warranty.

No. The integrated 3W LED is non-dimmable and operates at full brightness when switched on via the rocker switch on the backplate.

What range of movement does the arm have?

The arm rotates horizontally through approximately 180° and tilts vertically to direct the 30° beam upwards, downwards, or straight ahead. This allows the light to be positioned for bedside reading, desk work, or accent lighting on wall features.

How much light does 210 lumens provide?

210 lumens from the 3W LED at 3000K is sufficient for close-range reading (book held 40-60cm from the source) or desk task lighting. It is not designed as ambient room lighting or to illuminate large wall areas.

What is the difference between antique brass and polished brass?

Antique brass has a brushed texture with warm brown undertones and a low-sheen finish. Polished brass is high-gloss and reflects more light. The antique finish pairs better with traditional, vintage and industrial interiors, while polished brass suits classical and contemporary settings.
