Description

The Taper is a 380mm outdoor wall lantern built from textured black composite material with an integrated 8W LED casting warm 3000K light downward through a recessed aperture. The fitting's tapered rectangular form creates a gradient lighting effect, with the brightest point at the top of the aperture fading to softer illumination at the bottom. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for covered external positions such as porch walls, garage entrances and garden room exteriors.

Designed for vertical mounting on exterior walls, the Taper provides functional downlighting for doorways, pathways and patio zones while the tapered profile adds architectural interest to flat rendered or brick surfaces. The 89mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting unobtrusive on narrow passages or alongside doorframes. The composite material resists UV degradation and moisture penetration better than painted metal in exposed coastal or high-rainfall areas.

The textured black finish absorbs rather than reflects daylight, making the lantern recede into darker wall tones during the day and become the focal point at night when lit.
