Description
The Talorin is a 260mm alabaster table lamp built from two carved elements in natural Spanish alabaster: a tapered column base and a solid sphere head that sits at the apex. Both pieces are finished in a soft white tone, with the sphere acting as the light source and the column reading as a sculptural plinth. The lamp uses a single G9 socket and measures 120mm across at the widest point of the sphere.
Sized for console tables, bedside surfaces, sideboards and shelves where a compact, low-glare light source is wanted, the Talorin works as accent or mood lighting rather than task lighting. The 260mm height and 120mm diameter keep it visually contained on a 300mm-deep console or bedside table, and the warm glow through the alabaster sphere reads well in bedrooms, hallways, lounges and dining settings where ambient light is preferred to a directional beam.
Each Talorin shows different veining, tonal variation and mineral density depending on the section of alabaster the sphere and column are cut from, so individual lamps look distinct when lit. The sphere is the most translucent point on the lamp, glowing more intensely than the denser column below it, which creates a controlled gradient down the form. Transitions between the sphere and column are cleanly resolved, allowing the two pieces to read as a single carved object.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Talorin take?
The lamp uses a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED G9 between 2-3W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the alabaster, producing a soft glow without overheating the stone. Avoid halogen G9 bulbs in close contact with alabaster as they run hotter than LED.
Does each lamp look the same?
No. Each sphere and column is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining, mineral density and translucency vary between individual pieces. When lit, the sphere reveals tonal variation and internal structure unique to the section of stone it was cut from.
Where does it suit?
The 260mm height and 120mm diameter make the Talorin compact enough for bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelves. It works as ambient or accent lighting rather than directional task lighting, suiting bedrooms, hallways and living rooms where a low, warm glow is wanted.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, and avoid soaking the stone.
