Description

The Kichler Talland is a single-light wall fitting with a clear glass shade featuring horizontal ridged detailing, mounted on a polished chrome arm and circular backplate. The glass shade takes its form from early 20th-century telegraph pole insulators, with the ridges refracting light through the glass and creating concentric rings of brightness when lit. The fitting includes a 3W G9 LED bulb rated at 3000K warm white.

With an IP44 rating, the Talland is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 — mounted above a basin mirror, flanking a bathroom cabinet, or as side lighting in a shower room where direct spray does not reach the fitting. The 175mm projection from the wall suits narrow spaces where a pendant would obstruct movement, and the 127mm width keeps the fitting compact enough for either side of a typical 600-800mm bathroom mirror. The polished chrome finish reflects available light and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings.

The ridged glass shade diffuses the 3W LED output while the horizontal grooves in the glass create visual texture under daylight and decorative pattern when lit. The clear glass allows full bulb visibility, so the G9 capsule is part of the aesthetic — warm-white LED gives a softer appearance than cool white. Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Talland suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. This means it can be mounted above a basin, next to a mirror, or in a shower room where direct water spray does not reach the fitting. How is the glass shade cleaned?

The ridged glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner. Switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. The horizontal ridges trap dust over time, so periodic cleaning maintains brightness.
