Description

The Suzani is a vintage style wool rug in the Stone / Multi colourway, a traditional design with a lively, sunlit palette. A soft stone ground is scattered with stylised flowers in coral pink, brick red, cornflower blue, saffron yellow and sage green, joined by fine trailing stems, with larger rosettes running down the centre. A floral border frames the field, and both short ends finish in a neat fringe. It is machine woven from a blend that is mostly wool with some polyamide, in a high density weave that keeps the floral detail crisp and gives the rug a close, solid body.

It is made for the living room, where its warm, gently faded colours sit easily on pale boards or light carpet. We offer it in three sizes. At 120 by 170cm it fits in front of a sofa or under a coffee table in a smaller room. The 160 by 230cm size anchors a seating area, with the front feet of a sofa and armchairs resting on it. At 200 by 285cm it is generous enough to sit under a whole seating group in a larger living room.
