Description

The Sussex is a 9-light chandelier built on a two-tier frame in brushed nickel with white fabric hardback shades covering each E14 lamp holder. The central column combines turned metal sections with clear glass segments, rising from a brushed nickel ceiling canopy through a turned metal finial at the base before splitting into the two tiers of curved arms. Each arm holds a single E14 candle bulb beneath a cylindrical white fabric shade.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the 813mm diameter spreads light across a 3-4m space while the two-tier configuration keeps the overall vertical proportion balanced rather than elongated. The drop is adjustable on installation from a minimum of 990mm to a maximum of 4000mm using the 3048mm chain, allowing the chandelier to be tailored to the ceiling height — typically hung 1800-2100mm above floor level in an entrance hall, or 700-850mm above a dining table surface.

The brushed nickel finish provides a cooler metallic tone than brass or bronze, pairing with both traditional and transitional interiors that lean towards greys, soft blues and neutral palettes. The white fabric shades soften the direct light from the nine bulbs, diffusing it into ambient room lighting rather than focused downlight. The 813mm diameter works over rectangular dining tables from 1800mm to 2400mm long, or round tables up to 1500mm diameter. The chandelier should not overhang the table edge — leaving 300-500mm clearance on each side of the fitting allows chairs to be pulled out without collision.
