Description

The Suri is a compact outdoor wall lantern with a cage-style frame in textured black composite material, housing a single E27 bulb behind clear seeded glass. The composite construction is UV-stabilised and resistant to saltwater corrosion, making the fitting suitable for coastal installations and exposed locations where direct sunlight and changing weather conditions would degrade traditional painted metal or plastic lanterns over time.

Designed for entrance porches, garage doorways, small balconies and narrow pathways, the Suri provides direct downward and outward light from a 286mm-tall lantern body projecting 170mm from the wall. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, allowing installation in locations exposed to rain but not direct hosing or submersion. The clear seeded glass adds texture to the light output while maintaining visibility of the bulb filament when using decorative LED or vintage-style E27 sources.

The textured black finish is fade-resistant and applied throughout the composite material rather than as a surface coating, so minor scuffs or scratches do not expose a different base colour underneath. The wall bracket fixes to standard UK back boxes or directly to masonry using appropriate fixings for the substrate. Kichler backs the Suri with a 5-year guarantee covering material and finish degradation.

The lantern accepts a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a warm-white LED bulb between 4-8W for outdoor pathway and porch lighting.
