A white ring in the ceiling and very little else: that is the whole idea of this recessed base. The outer trim measures 16cm across, with the housing running deeper behind it, so the light sits back from the ceiling line rather than sitting proud of it. It is a non-electric base, which means it does the shaping and the light source is chosen to suit it. We stock it as the quiet option for ceilings that should not be noticed.

The wider size earns its place where a ceiling has some area to cover: an open plan kitchen, a wide hallway, a sitting room where a long run of tiny apertures would only look busy.
