Description
The Strato is a 165mm wide outdoor wall light with four downward-facing LED apertures set into a curved white metal body. The integrated 6W 3000K LED produces warm white light through four individual lenses, each casting a directed beam downward onto the wall surface and the ground below. The fitting mounts horizontally against the wall with a low 42mm projection depth.
Designed for external walls on pathways, patios, entrance porches and garden boundaries, the Strato carries an IP54 rating, protecting the internal components from dust ingress and water spray from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed positions under eaves or on boundary walls where rain and windblown moisture are expected. The 100-240V AC input accommodates both UK mains and international voltage standards, useful for overseas installations or property exports.
The white powder-coated metal body resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments, maintaining finish integrity over extended outdoor exposure. The four-aperture arrangement produces four distinct pools of light on the wall surface below the fitting, creating textured shadow patterns on rendered, brick or timber cladding. The 80 CRI rating renders natural stone, painted finishes and planting colours accurately under the 3000K output. At 80mm height and 165mm width, the Strato sits proportionally on walls between 2-3m in height without dominating smaller domestic façades.

Frequently Asked
What does the IP54 rating mean for outdoor use?
IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress sufficient to prevent interference with operation, and protected against water spray from any direction. It can be fitted in exposed positions under eaves, on boundary walls, or on building façades where rain and moisture are expected, but should not be positioned where it will be submerged or subject to high-pressure water jets.
Does the LED light source need replacing?
The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. LED lifespan is typically 25,000-50,000 hours depending on operating conditions. At 4 hours per night, this equates to approximately 17-34 years of use before noticeable degradation.
How is the light directed?
The four apertures cast light downward only, producing four distinct pools of illumination on the wall surface and ground below the fitting. There is no upward light spill, making this a good choice for dark-sky areas or where light pollution is a concern.
Can it be fitted to brick or rendered walls?
Yes. The fitting mounts via a standard back plate fixed to the wall with appropriate plugs and screws for the substrate. Brick, block, render, timber cladding and stone are all suitable provided the correct fixings are used. The manual linked above provides full installation guidance.
