Description

The Stockholm Grande is a 475mm galvanised steel pedestal light with a clear glass cylindrical chamber surrounded by horizontal louvred banding in a silver finish. A single E27 bulb sits inside the glass, protected by a wide disc canopy above and a solid circular base below. The IP54 rating makes the fitting suitable for pathways, driveways, garden borders and coastal locations where salt-air corrosion is a concern.

Designed for ground-level installation on paved surfaces, gravel paths and garden borders, the Stockholm bolts through a flat base with four fixing points (visible in the product image) that secure the pedestal to concrete, paving slabs or a buried mounting plinth. The 350mm-wide canopy sheds rain away from the glass chamber and keeps direct rainfall off the bulb. The louvred banding around the glass chamber controls horizontal light spill while allowing 360-degree illumination downwards onto the path surface.

The galvanised steel construction resists oxidation and corrosion in wet, humid and coastal conditions without requiring a coastal exclusion zone, which makes the Stockholm suitable for seafront properties, exposed moorland gardens and high-rainfall areas where other outdoor fittings develop rust. The clear glass allows bulb choice to determine light colour and brightness — pair with a warm-white LED filament bulb for traditional path lighting, or a cool-white LED for contemporary garden schemes.

Can this be used in coastal locations?

Yes. The galvanised steel construction has no coastal exclusion zone, making the Stockholm suitable for seafront properties and exposed coastal gardens where salt-air would corrode standard steel fittings.

What bulb does it take?

The pedestal takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use an E27 LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for warm-white path lighting.

How is it installed?

The circular base has four fixing holes for bolting through to a concrete slab, paving stone or buried mounting plinth. Cable entry is through the base. Installation requires a qualified electrician to connect mains wiring and seal the cable entry point.

What does the IP54 rating cover?

IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress (rating 5) and water splashing from any direction (rating 4). The Stockholm can handle rain, garden hose spray and damp ground conditions, but is not rated for submersion or high-pressure jet washing.
