Description
The Stellar is a vertical wall light with a 300mm x 60mm matt black metal box housing two GU10 fittings, one pointing upward and one downward. Light exits through apertures at the top and bottom of the housing, projecting vertical wash patterns onto the wall above and below the fitting. The bulbs are recessed inside the metal box, so no direct glare is visible from typical viewing angles.
Designed for hallways, living room feature walls, bedroom accent lighting and commercial reception areas, the Stellar provides ambient wall-wash rather than task lighting. The 300mm projection places the light source 30cm from the wall, creating defined upward and downward beams that highlight architectural features, alcoves or textured wall finishes. The fitting works best when mounted at 1.5-2m height on a clear wall section with at least 500mm clearance above and below to allow the light patterns to develop.
The matt black painted metal finish absorbs reflections and pairs cleanly with industrial, minimalist and contemporary interiors. The housing is IP20 rated for dry indoor use only. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing the light intensity to be adjusted from full brightness down to a subtle background glow. Bulbs are sold separately, with most installations using warm-white 3000K LEDs between 4-6W per fitting.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Stellar take?
The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with warm-white 3000K LED bulbs between 4-6W per fitting to achieve the ambient wall-wash effect the design is intended for. Higher-wattage bulbs can be used but may produce harsh upward and downward patterns depending on wall colour.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the bulbs must also be rated as dimmable for the system to function correctly.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only and is not protected against moisture ingress. For bathroom installation, a fitting with IP44 or higher is required.
How far does it project from the wall?
The fitting projects 300mm from the wall. This places the light source 30cm out, allowing the upward and downward beams to spread across the wall surface before reaching their full intensity. Mounting the fitting in a space with less than 300mm clearance from furniture or door frames may obstruct the projection.
