Description

This steam train mantel clock is made from metal in a matt black finish. It is shaped like an old locomotive, with a tall chimney, a long boiler topped with domes, a pointed cowcatcher at the front and spoked wheels picked out in distressed silver. The clock sits in the cab. Its square dial has an aged cream face, black numerals and hands, and the words HISTORIC NEW MEXICO 66 ROUTE, with the 66 set inside a road sign shield at the centre. The cab roof, the lamp and the chimney top carry the same worn silver highlights, which give the whole piece a well travelled look. It stands 26cm tall, 39cm long and 9cm deep.
