Description
The Stavanger is a 280mm-tall LED bollard light with a die-cast aluminium body in a graphite powder-coated finish, housing an integrated 9.2W 3000K LED behind a clear polycarbonate lens. A horizontal transparent band wraps around the mid-section of the cylindrical body, allowing light to escape from the LED reflector inside while the top and base remain solid graphite, directing light downward and outward rather than upward into the sky.
Designed for garden pathways, driveways, patio edges and low-level boundary lighting, the Stavanger sits close to the ground at under 30cm tall, providing visibility along walkways without glare at eye level. The IP65 rating seals the fitting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation including coastal environments where salt spray and humidity accelerate corrosion on lesser-rated fittings. The 200mm diameter footprint gives stability on soft ground and paving alike.
The graphite finish is a mid-grey powder coat applied over the aluminium casting, resistant to UV fade and weathering. The polycarbonate lens is impact-resistant and specified as vandal-resistant, meaning it withstands accidental knocks from garden equipment and deliberate strikes better than glass or acrylic alternatives. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, but at 9.2W output and typical LED lifespan of 25,000+ hours, the fitting provides 8-10 years of nightly use before end-of-life. Norlys backs the Stavanger with a 5-year guarantee with no coastal exclusion, covering both the LED driver and the housing.

Frequently Asked
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for 25,000+ hours, which translates to 8-10 years of typical nightly use. At end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced.
Is it suitable for coastal installation?
Yes. The Stavanger carries a 5-year guarantee with no coastal exclusion, meaning it is designed to withstand salt spray, humidity and coastal corrosion. The die-cast aluminium body with powder-coated finish and sealed IP65 construction resist degradation in harsh coastal climates.
How is it installed?
The bollard mounts onto a flat surface via the base plate. A mains cable enters through a cable gland in the base. The fitting can be bolted to concrete, paving slabs or a hard-standing base. It is not designed to be planted directly into soil without a sub-base.
What light pattern does it produce?
The LED sits inside a reflector behind the transparent mid-band. Light projects outward and downward from the band in a 360° pattern, with the solid graphite top and base preventing upward light spill. This creates a low-level wash of light around the bollard rather than a focused beam.
