Description

The Stark is an 84mm fixed round recessed downlight with an IP65-rated white aluminium trim and a GU10 bulb holder. The fitting sits 29mm deep once installed into a ceiling void, with the white bezel sitting flush against the ceiling surface. The IP65 rating protects the internal components from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms, covered outdoor soffits, and commercial washrooms where moisture resistance is required.

Designed for fixed-beam task and accent lighting, the Stark works in low-ceiling spaces where adjustable downlights would protrude too far, and in exterior soffits where the fitting needs to withstand rain exposure from underneath. The GU10 bulb fitting accepts standard UK mains-voltage LED, halogen or CFL bulbs up to 50W (sold separately), giving control over colour temperature and beam angle depending on the chosen bulb. Most users pair this with a 5-7W GU10 LED in 3000K or 4000K for bathroom or kitchen task lighting.

The white powder-coated aluminium trim provides corrosion resistance in damp environments and blends into white or light-coloured ceilings without visual contrast. The round bezel measures 84mm outer diameter, requiring a ceiling cut-out of approximately 68mm, and the fitting weighs under 100g once the bulb is removed. Spring clips on either side of the housing hold the downlight securely in plasterboard or timber ceilings between 10-25mm thick without additional fixings.

What bulb does it take?
