Description

The Spyre is a 711mm-diameter six-light chandelier with a hand-hammered champagne gold metal frame formed into organic branch-like curves that radiate from a central column. Six E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit on individual arms, each positioned at different heights within the sculptural frame. The fitting height of 775mm gives the chandelier a vertical emphasis, suited to rooms with ceiling heights above 2.7m.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces, the Spyre provides decorative ambient lighting across a 3-4m table or 4-5m floor area. The drop is adjustable on installation from 852mm minimum to 3850mm maximum, allowing the chandelier to be set at the appropriate height above furniture or in vaulted ceilings. The champagne gold finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with neutral, earth-toned and warm contemporary interiors without the high reflectivity of polished brass.

Each metal arm carries a visible hammer-textured surface from the hand-forming process, giving the finish a tactile, slightly irregular quality rather than a machined uniformity. The six arms curve outward and upward at different angles, creating a three-dimensional frame that changes appearance depending on viewing angle. The combined metal frame and E14 fittings suit both LED filament-style bulbs for a traditional look or frosted LED candles for softer glare control.

The Spyre takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional candle appearance, or frosted LED candles to reduce glare.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 852mm plus the 775mm fitting height means the chandelier requires at least 2.7m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues when walking beneath it. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 750-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with 2.7-3.2m ceilings. Higher ceilings up to 5.5m can use the full 3850mm maximum drop.

Is the champagne gold finish shiny or matt?

The hand-hammered champagne gold has a soft metallic sheen rather than a mirror-polished finish. The hammered texture breaks up reflections and gives the surface a warmer, less reflective appearance than polished brass or chrome.

Can the drop be shortened after installation?

The drop is set during installation by shortening the chain or rod to the desired length. Once installed and the excess chain/rod removed, the drop cannot be easily adjusted without re-opening the ceiling canopy and re-threading the suspension system.
