Description
The Knightsbridge SpektroLED Evo is a recessed LED downlight with a 90-degree tilt mechanism, selectable colour temperature between 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 6000K, and selectable 5W or 7W output. The brushed brass bezel sits 90mm wide at the ceiling surface with a 70mm cut-out diameter, fitting into ceilings with a minimum 56mm void depth. The lamp technology is SMD LED with a prismatic diffuser, delivering between 565-865 lumens depending on the CCT and wattage selection.
Designed for residential bathrooms, kitchens, hallways and living spaces, the downlight carries an IP65 rating from below (IP20 from above), making it suitable for Zone 2 bathroom installations and other wet or humid environments. The fire-rating covers 30/60/90-minute solid timber, 30-minute web joist and 30-minute i-joist installations, and the fitting is IC-rated for direct contact with ceiling insulation. The tilt mechanism allows the light beam to be angled up to 90 degrees from vertical, directing light onto walls, worktops or feature areas rather than straight down.
The fitting uses a male-female connector system that allows cables to be terminated and hidden during decoration, with the downlight body plugged in after the room is finished. This means the brushed brass bezel stays clean during plastering and painting, and the fitting can be unplugged for future maintenance or redecorating without re-wiring. The pressed steel construction and Class II double-insulated design mean no earth connection is required. Dimmable on trailing-edge dimmers (compatibility should be checked before installation).
The 4-CCT selector allows the installer or end user to choose between warm white (2700K), soft white (3000K), neutral white (4000K) and cool white (6000K) after installation, matching the downlight to the room's natural light or to other fittings in the property. The dual-wattage selector provides 5W for lower-output ambient lighting or 7W where brighter task lighting is needed. Complies with current energy efficiency standards and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Frequently Asked
What bathroom zone is this suitable for?
The IP65 rating from below makes the SpektroLED Evo suitable for Zone 2 bathroom installations (areas outside the shower enclosure or bath area but within 0.6m of them). The IP20 rating from above means the ceiling void must remain dry.
How do I change the colour temperature?
A selector switch on the rear of the fitting allows you to choose between 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 6000K before installation. Once the downlight is fitted and powered, the selected CCT remains fixed until the fitting is removed and the switch changed.
What dimmer is compatible?
The downlight is dimmable on trailing-edge (electronic) dimmers. Leading-edge (resistive/inductive) dimmers are not recommended. Knightsbridge publishes a compatibility list on their website — check before pairing with a specific dimmer model to avoid flicker or limited dimming range.
What other finishes are available?
The SpektroLED Evo range includes white, matt black, brushed chrome, polished chrome, brushed brass and antique brass finishes. Search Niori for "SpektroLED Evo" to see the full range in stock.
