The Sparrowmere table lamp sets a deep teal fabric shade inside a double hoop frame finished in gold leaf, so the shade reads as though it is floating between the two rings. It stands 660mm tall and measures 380mm across, so it works as a generous table light rather than a small accent piece, and the 4.1kg body keeps it planted on a console, sideboard or bedside chest. Because the drum is open at the top and bottom, light falls down onto the surface below and lifts up through the frame instead of firing only forwards. One E27 lamp does the work, rated up to 10W in LED, and the fitting is IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

We like this one in a living room, on a console in a wide hallway, or in a pair either side of a bed where you want height without much bulk.
