Description

The Spark is a 600mm diameter flush ceiling light with a black powder-coated aluminium frame housing an integrated 53W 3000K LED. The 45mm mounting depth sits tight to the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a pendant would hang too far into the space. The circular diffuser panel provides even light distribution across the full 600mm diameter.

Designed for large living rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners, hallways and commercial spaces needing functional overhead light, the Spark delivers ambient illumination across 15-20m² depending on room layout and ceiling reflectivity. The IP40 rating provides basic dust protection, making it suitable for dry indoor areas. The flush-mount installation fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box, with the aluminium canopy concealing the electrical connection.

The black powder-coated finish on the aluminium frame gives a neutral industrial aesthetic that pairs with both monochrome and warm-toned interiors. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light closer to halogen than daylight, reducing the clinical feel often associated with LED ceiling lights. At 53W output the integrated LED provides significantly more light than typical 20-30W flush ceiling lights while remaining more energy-efficient than equivalent halogen or fluorescent alternatives.

Is the Spark dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and should be wired directly to a standard on-off switch, not a dimmer circuit.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 45mm flush-mount profile makes the Spark ideal for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a pendant or semi-flush fitting would intrude into the space. It works equally well on higher ceilings where a minimal profile is preferred.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP40 rating provides dust protection but not water resistance. It is not suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2 where direct water contact or steam exposure occurs. It can be used in zone 3 (areas beyond 60cm from a bath or shower) where splash risk is minimal.

What area does the 53W LED cover?

The 53W output typically provides sufficient ambient light for rooms of 15-20m² (approximately 4m x 5m) depending on ceiling reflectivity, wall colour and whether additional task lighting is used. Darker walls and lower ceilings reduce effective coverage.
