The Spark is a 35cm diameter flush ceiling light built from powder-coated aluminium with an integrated 18W LED producing 3000K warm white light. The circular frame sits 45mm from the ceiling, with a white acrylic diffuser set behind the black metal rim to cast even downlight across the room below.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways, smaller bedrooms and utility rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or below, the Spark combines functional overhead lighting with a low-profile mounting that suits spaces where a pendant or semi-flush would sit too low. The IP40 rating provides protection against dust ingress and light water splashing, making it suitable for bathrooms outside of direct shower zones and for kitchens, though not for outdoor or fully wet environments.

The black powder-coated finish on the aluminium frame resists corrosion and pairs with industrial, minimalist and modern interiors where dark accents are used. The 18W LED output delivers approximately 1,400-1,600 lumens, equivalent to a traditional 100W incandescent bulb, distributed evenly across a 3-4m square room. The non-dimmable driver sits behind the diffuser plate and connects to standard 230V UK mains via a ceiling rose.

Can the Spark be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP40 rating protects against dust and light water splashing, making it suitable for bathroom use outside of direct shower zones. It should not be installed where it will be hit by direct water spray.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The Spark uses an integrated LED module rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation. The LED is not user-replaceable — when the module reaches end-of-life the entire fitting requires replacement.

What room size does 18W suit?

The 18W LED output provides approximately 1,400-1,600 lumens, which comfortably lights a bathroom, hallway or bedroom of 3-4m square. For larger rooms or higher ceilings, two Spark fittings positioned across the space work better than a single central fitting.

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

The Spark is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. It can be fitted to a slightly sloped ceiling (up to approximately 10-15 degrees) if the ceiling rose and mounting plate provide a secure fixing, but it is not designed for steep slopes or vaulted ceilings.
