Description

The Spark is a 45cm diameter LED ceiling light with an integrated 26W 3000K LED module mounted behind a white powder-coated aluminium bezel and translucent diffuser panel. The 45mm profile sits flush against the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where deeper pendants or semi-flush fittings would feel oppressive.

Designed for bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and covered outdoor areas such as porches or carports, the Spark delivers even ambient lighting across a 10-15m² floor area. The IP40 rating protects the internal components against solid objects above 1mm and against water splashing from any direction, which is sufficient for most indoor bathrooms (zones outside the immediate shower enclosure) and sheltered outdoor positions where direct rain exposure is prevented by an overhang.

The white powder-coated finish is applied to the aluminium frame before assembly, giving a consistent matt surface that resists fingerprints during installation and cleaning. The translucent diffuser panel spreads the LED light evenly without visible hotspots, and the 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light similar to a traditional halogen bulb. The fitting is non-dimmable and connects directly to a standard UK ceiling rose on 230V mains.

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming and should be connected to a standard on/off switch only.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP40 rating allows installation in bathroom zones outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure where direct water jets are not present. It is not rated for installation directly above a bath or within a shower cubicle.

What size room does it suit?

The 26W output and 45cm diameter work well in rooms between 10-15m² floor area, such as a typical UK double bedroom, small kitchen or hallway.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering the LED lifespan.
