Description

The Soul is a sculptural table lamp built from two contrasting spheres: a 25cm frosted white glass globe seated on a smaller polished gold metal ball. The globe houses a single G9 bulb (sold separately), and the frosted finish on the glass diffuses the light evenly across the full surface so the shade itself reads as a soft, glowing orb rather than a directed beam.

At 25cm tall and 25cm in diameter, the lamp suits bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelving in living rooms and bedrooms. The 150cm cable gives flexibility in placement relative to the nearest socket. The compact footprint works on narrower bedside tables where a traditional shaded lamp would feel oversized, and the ambient output makes it well suited to evening reading or as secondary lighting alongside a brighter overhead fitting.

The polished gold base provides visual weight to anchor the lighter glass globe above it, and the warm metallic tone pairs with brass, champagne and rose gold accents elsewhere in a room. The two-sphere composition keeps the silhouette graphic and uncluttered, with no visible armature between the base and the globe. The lamp carries a 2 year warranty.

The lamp takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED G9 between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K gives the softest ambient glow through the frosted glass and runs cool, which is preferable to halogen inside a closed glass globe.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The fitting itself does not include a built-in dimmer or inline switch. Dimming depends on pairing a dimmable G9 LED bulb with a compatible wall or plug-in dimmer. Check the bulb packaging confirms dimmable status before pairing.

Where does the on/off switch sit?

The 150cm cable runs from the base of the gold sphere with a standard inline plug for UK mains. Switching is via the wall socket or via an inline switch on a compatible smart plug if remote control is needed.

Will it suit a small bedside table?

Yes. The 25cm diameter and 25cm height keep the footprint compact enough for narrower bedside tables of 35cm depth and above, where a fabric-shaded lamp would typically overhang the edge.
