Description
The Solum is a 2-light wall bracket built around a polished chrome back plate and twin curved arms, each supporting a white organza shade and a faceted crystal droplet beneath the shade base. The two E14 bulb fittings sit inside the organza fabric, which diffuses light into a soft ambient glow rather than a focused beam. The polished chrome finish on the metal frame gives a clean reflective quality that pairs comfortably with both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Designed for bedrooms, hallways and living rooms where decorative accent lighting is needed, the Solum fits flush to the wall with a 335mm projection from the mounting surface. The 430mm width spans the typical gap either side of a mirror or artwork, making it a common choice for dressing table mirrors, bathroom mirrors in non-wet zones (IP20 rating), and flanking wall positions either side of a bed. The dimmable E14 fittings allow output to be reduced for evening use or raised for task lighting.
The organza shades show a fine vertical pleat structure when backlit, adding texture to the diffused light. Each shade tapers from approximately 150mm at the base to 90mm at the top, giving a classic lampshade silhouette. The crystal droplets beneath each shade catch and refract light from the bulbs above, adding a decorative accent without the weight or cost of full crystal pendants. The polished chrome arms curve outward from the central back plate in a symmetrical sweep, giving the fitting a balanced appearance when mounted at eye level.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Solum take?
The fitting takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs (also called SES or candle bulbs), sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for bedroom and hallway use.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, the fitting is rated as dimmable. You will need dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchase.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It cannot be used in bathroom zones 1 or 2 (within 60cm of a bath or shower), but can be installed in zone 3 (more than 60cm from water sources) or in non-zoned areas of a bathroom such as above a dressing table away from the bath.
What's the projection from the wall?
The fitting projects 335mm from the mounting surface to the front of the organza shades. This is typical for double-arm wall lights and allows clearance for the shades without the arms appearing cramped. The 430mm width spans the typical gap either side of a 600-800mm mirror.
