Description

The Solisca is a 40cm flush ceiling light with an integrated 22W LED, housed within a matt black painted metal frame and opal polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting sits approximately 80mm from the ceiling surface, combining a black outer ring with a white central reflector disc and a translucent opal lens that softens the 3000K LED output into even, glare-free illumination.

Designed for rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low, the Solisca suits kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and living rooms of 10-15m². The 40cm diameter provides sufficient spread for a medium-sized space without dominating the ceiling plane. The fitting can also be wall-mounted where a semi-recessed light is needed, though ceiling mounting is the primary application. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

The matt black metal construction contrasts with the white central disc, creating a defined circular geometry when viewed from below. The opal polycarbonate diffuser hides the LED array and prevents direct sight of individual diodes, distributing the 22W output evenly across the ceiling or wall surface. The non-dimmable LED runs at a fixed 3000K colour temperature, producing a warm white light that sits comfortably in residential interiors. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty on the fitting and integrated LED.

Frequently Asked

Is the Solisca dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The 22W output is set at the factory and cannot be adjusted after installation.

What room size does it suit?

The 40cm diameter and 22W output suit rooms of approximately 10-15m² — typical bedrooms, kitchens and hallways. Smaller rooms may find the light too bright for ambient use; larger rooms may need supplementary lighting.

Can it be installed on a ceiling with low clearance?

Yes. The flush-mount design sits approximately 80mm from the ceiling surface, making it suitable for rooms where a pendant would hang too low or where ceiling heights are below 2.4m.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
