The Solarae is a 12-light suspension fitting from Ideal Lux, built around a central polished chrome stem with twelve radiating arms, each terminating in a clear blown glass globe. Each globe houses a single G4 halogen or LED capsule bulb (sold separately), creating twelve distinct points of light across a 1281mm span. The blown glass diffuses the light evenly while remaining transparent enough to show the internal bulb structure when lit.

Designed for large dining tables, open-plan kitchen-dining areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Solarae provides both ambient and decorative function across a wide footprint. The 593mm overall height from canopy to lowest globe sits comfortably 700-900mm above a 2.4m or 3m dining table when fitted with standard suspension cable. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

The polished chrome arms and central stem create a mirror-like reflective surface that amplifies light output and pairs with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer traditional settings where chrome accents are present. The asymmetric arrangement of the arms gives the fitting visual weight without perfect symmetry, making it appear more sculptural than geometrically rigid.
