The Solar is a black aluminium outdoor wall light with two E27 bulb fittings housed in transparent Pyrex glass diffusers, one directing light upwards and one downwards. The cylindrical body measures 110mm wide and projects 310mm from the wall, with a black powder-coated aluminium construction rated to IP54 for outdoor use in UK weather conditions.

Designed for patios, garden walls, driveways and building entrances where both decorative accent and functional pathway lighting are needed, the Solar's dual-directional light creates wall-wash effects above and illumination below. The up/down configuration highlights textured brickwork, stonework or render above the fitting while lighting steps, paving or planting below. The 310mm projection means the light sits clear of most wall surfaces, avoiding shadows directly behind the fitting.

The Pyrex glass diffusers are more heat-resistant and impact-resistant than standard glass, making them suitable for higher-wattage E27 bulbs (sold separately) and reducing the risk of thermal shock from rain on hot glass. The black finish is applied as a powder coat over the aluminium body, giving a textured matte surface that resists fading and corrosion better than painted finishes. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed walls without overhead cover.
