Description

The Solace is a 42mm diameter surface-mounted LED downlight with a black powder-coated aluminium body housing an integrated 4W 3000K LED. The cylindrical housing projects approximately 50mm from the ceiling surface, with light cast downward through a satin acrylic diffuser at the base of the cylinder. The LED is fixed within the unit and rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation.

Designed for rooms where recessed downlights are impractical due to shallow ceiling voids or concrete ceilings, the Solace mounts directly to the ceiling surface on a circular backplate. The compact 42mm diameter makes it suitable for tight spacing in corridors, over kitchen worktops, or in clusters across low ceilings where larger surface-mounted fittings would feel intrusive. The 3000K warm white output suits residential interiors and hospitality spaces needing functional downlighting without clinical colour temperatures.

The powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion and wear better than painted finishes, while the matt black exterior absorbs light rather than reflecting it, reducing glare from the fitting itself. The satin acrylic diffuser softens the LED point source to prevent harsh shadows directly beneath the fitting.
