Description

This is a smoked glass LED globe bulb with an E27 screw cap, 12cm long and 8cm in diameter. The round glass is vaporised to a black-transparent tint, so the spiral filament inside stands out clearly against a soft grey haze, and the screw cap is a warm gold colour. It draws 4W and gives 100lm at 2000K, a deep amber warm light, noticeably warmer than most everyday bulbs. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in dry rooms, away from steam and splashes.

Because this bulb is meant to be seen, it suits open pendants, bare cord sets and wall lights where the glass is on show: over a dining table, in a hallway, beside a reading chair or in a bedroom where a gentle glow matters more than brightness. At 100lm it is not suitable as a main light source, and we would rather say so plainly; think of it as the decorative layer in a room, the warm point of light that makes an evening feel settled while a ceiling light or lamps do the heavy lifting.
