Description

This is a smoked glass LED filament bulb in the classic pear shape, with a spiral filament that winds around a slim central stem and a brass-coloured E27 screw cap. The glass is vaporised to a black-transparent tint, so the bulb looks dark and smoky when it is switched off and lets the glowing filament show through when it is lit. It measures 13cm long and 7.5cm across, and it is rated IP20, which means it belongs in dry indoor fittings only.

We suggest it wherever the bulb itself is on view: a bare pendant, a cage shade, an open wall light or a table lamp with an exposed bulb. At 4W it gives 100lm at 2000K, a very warm amber tone that the smoked glass deepens further. That low output is deliberate, and this bulb is not suitable as a main light source, so pair it with brighter lighting in the room and use it to set a mood over a dining table, in a bar corner or beside a favourite chair in the evening.
