Description

Our smart LED GLS bulb takes the familiar pear shape and gives it an amber glass globe, with a spiral LED filament coiling up through the centre and a brass-coloured E27 screw cap. It runs at 7W with an E energy class, so the warm vintage look comes from LED technology rather than an old-fashioned filament. Being a smart bulb, it is dimmable and its colour temperature is adjustable, all controlled from an app on your phone.

The E27 cap is the standard large screw fitting used in a great many pendants, table lamps and floor lamps, so this bulb swaps into many of the lights already around your home. The amber glass and spiral filament are made to be seen, which makes it a natural choice for a bare pendant over a dining table, an open cage shade or a lamp with an exposed bulb in the living room. With the colour temperature adjustable, you can keep a warmer light for relaxed evenings and move to a cooler light for reading or working, all without leaving your seat.

As a smart home bulb, its brightness and colour temperature are set from the app. It also works with a remote control, sold separately, for anyone who prefers a button by the sofa to a phone. For care, switch the bulb off and let it cool before you change or wipe it, then use a soft, dry cloth on the glass so the amber tint stays clear and bright.
