Description

The Slice is a single-pendant ceiling light built around a tapered teardrop glass shade with a chrome mirror finish that fades to a softer translucent silver at the base. The shade hangs from a matt black ceiling cap on a 150cm black fabric cable, with an E27 lamp holder concealed inside the shade. Overall shade dimensions are 30cm high by 18cm in diameter.

The pendant suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and entrance halls where a single hanging fitting is needed at a fixed height. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation, allowing the shade to be set 700-800mm above a worktop or 750-900mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. Multiple Slice pendants can be hung in a row above a longer island or counter, spaced roughly 600-800mm apart, for a coordinated look.

The mirrored chrome finish on the upper portion of the shade reflects the surrounding room and amplifies the light from the bulb, while the gradient towards the base lets a softer pool of light wash directly onto the surface below. The matt black cap and cable contrast against the polished glass and provide a clean line back to the ceiling. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) — a clear or filament bulb shows through the lower section of the shade and forms part of the visual.
