Description
The Skoura is a three light pendant that hangs three faceted globe shades in a brass finish from a round black ceiling canopy, each on its own black cable. The globes are different sizes, one clearly larger than the other two, and they drop to different heights, so the cluster reads as a loose, staggered group. Each globe is built from open pentagon and hexagon frames, with fine strands fanning out like starbursts across every face. The body is steel, finished in black and brass, and the whole fitting measures 70cm long, 67.5cm wide and 150cm high overall. It takes three E27 bulbs of up to 60W each, not included, and it is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in a dry room.
We think it looks its best in a living room, hung beside a sofa or above a coffee table, where the staggered drop has space to breathe. Three globes fill the gap between ceiling and furniture far better than a single shade could, and once the bulbs are lit the open facets cast a patterned glow across nearby walls. The black canopy and cables stay quiet, letting the brass globes take the attention. If you want one ceiling light that gives a large room a clear focal point, this does the job of three separate pendants from a single canopy.
There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, so it runs from the light switch you already have. It works on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and as a wired-in light it is installed by a qualified electrician; the installation instructions come as a download. Because the shades are open frames, the bulbs show through the facets and become part of the look, so we would pick decorative E27 bulbs of up to 60W each that you are happy to see. The packed weight is 5.487KG.
