Description
This sitting Highland cow figurine brings a shaggy, gentle face from the hills to a shelf or mantelpiece. She rests with her legs tucked neatly beneath her and her head turned a little to one side, a long fringe falling over dark, glossy eyes. Her thick coat is sculpted in deep, flowing strands from brow to tail, and a pair of long, upswept horns in grey curve out from beneath the fringe. Made in polystone resin and finished in warm brown, she stands 25.5cm high and measures 25cm across and 19cm deep.
At that size she has real presence on a sideboard, a deep windowsill or a chest of drawers, yet sits comfortably on a bookcase shelf too. She suits a farmhouse kitchen dresser beside stoneware jugs, a hallway console, or a living room dressed in wool throws. The coat is detailed all the way round, across her back and flanks as well as her face, so she looks just as good from behind and can take the middle of a table or an open shelf seen from both sides. A Highland cow is a much-loved sight, and this one makes a warm, easy gift that needs no explaining.
Polystone resin holds fine detail well, which is why every strand of the coat and the creases around the nose come through so clearly. She rests steadily on her tucked legs and belly, so she needs no stand or fixing. To keep the painted coat at its best, dust her with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush that reaches between the strands, and wipe gently with a damp cloth if needed. We would keep her indoors, away from damp and direct heat. For a cosy display, set her beside a sprig of heather, a stack of old books or a small pot of greenery on the mantelpiece.

Frequently Asked
How big is the Highland cow figurine?
She stands 25.5cm high and measures 25cm across and 19cm deep, a good size for a sideboard, windowsill or wide shelf.
What is the figurine made of?
The figurine is made in polystone resin, which takes fine detail, so the shaggy coat, fringe and horns are sculpted in depth and then painted.
What colour is the Highland cow?
The coat is a warm brown all over, with grey horns that darken towards the tips and dark eyes peeping out from beneath the fringe.
Does it need a stand or any fixing?
No, she rests steadily on her tucked legs and belly, so she sits straight onto a shelf, mantelpiece or table with nothing else needed.
Is the back of the figurine finished too?
Yes, the coat is detailed across her back and flanks as well as her face, so she looks good from every side, even in the middle of a table.
How should I look after it?
Dust with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush to reach between the strands of the coat, wipe gently with a damp cloth when needed, and keep her indoors away from damp.
